The Royal Academy scholarships for art students and young artists in 2016

Is announcing the Royal. Academy of Fine Arts (Fine Arts Academy) 2016 scholarships from the funds and foundations that are intended for art students in higher education in Sweden as well as scholarships for young artists in general. With young artist means a person who has an art degree not older than five years (graduation year 2011), and is not born earlier than the year in 1976.

A digital application should be sent by Monday, February 8, 2016 at 24:00 via a special application service available on the Academy's website. The application form will open on Monday, 18 January 2016. For more details see Scholarships.

In addition, advertises Konstakademien two one-year studio and working grants for artistic training and specialization. The fellows will be part of a network in collaboration with scholars from five other royal academies of the newly created Bernadotte program.

Academy of Art holds an information meeting for all interested Sunday, January 17. 15:00 in the auditorium on the 2nd floor, the Academy of Arts, Fredsgatan 12, Stockholm. The meeting will be recorded and will be available afterwards on the Academy's website.

Young artists who lack arts education can apply for the one-year studio scholarship as well as some of the targeted scholarships for artistic skill which corresponds to completed university studies art can be presented. A letter of recommendation signed by three members of the Academy of Arts and CV should be submitted with the application.

As the basis for the Academy's assessments will primarily artistic skills / qualifications will be considered and then special needs. In cases where the Academy of Fine Arts Scholarship Board deems it necessary, it will request the submission of physical work samples and possibly called the applicant also to interview (studio scholarship). Teachers and professors at the Swedish art academies are welcome to submit recommendations on its students in a letter sent to: Academy of Art, Scholarship Board, Box 16317, 103 26 Stockholm.
